Harvest Festival & Gathering

Dates: October 16th & 17th

Celebrate the harvest as the village is preparing for winter. Take part in the activities of the early 1800's.

Share in our annual event as the Village members all prepare for the coming winter. Learn about how the Pioneers would prepare their cabins and their food storages for the coming winter months. This would be a period of everyone coming together and sharing their resources and also a great opportunity for traders to come through selling their wares.

We will have demonstrations showing Pioneer life and you can learn from our Village members all of the different things which they would have to do in order to be prepared for the Winter months in Ohio. We will also be doing staining of clothes using the Walnuts from around the Village.

If you have never been to the Village during the Fall months it is truly a total transformation as the days and nights start to turn cooler and the leaves fall off of the trees. The Village is truly a totally different experience during every season as you get to see it in a completely different light.

Hours: 10 am to 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday

Cost: $5 per person (Bring a bag of individually wrapped Treat candy and get $2 off admission)

*all proceeds from the Pioneer Village events go to sustaining and maintaining the Pioneer Village and its buildings
